The largest petrol V8 in a heavy-duty chassis cab, the 7.3L V8 engine features the best petrol torque rating in its class* of 634Nm and 350 hp. The 7.3L V8 is built for strenuous duty, day in and day out, with durability, performance and power.
This third generation of the available 6.7L Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel surpasses the previous generation's power ratings and has been updated to be quieter and more efficient, and features better throttle response. The diesel powerhouse boasts ratings of 330 hp and 1118Nm of torque.The largest petrol V8 in a heavy-duty chassis cab, the 7.3L V8 engine features the best petrol torque rating in its class* of 634Nm and 350 hp. The fully boxed under-cab and C-channel aft-of-cab frame is made of 95% high-strength steel with up to 10 crossmembers. Torsional rigidity is eight time greater than the previous generation. The C-channel frame easily accommodates a wide range of upfits, from flat and dump beds to wrecker, service and delivery bodies.
The Super Duty™ is the only Class 3-5 chassis cab with a high-strength, military-grade, aluminum-alloy body. It's lighter than steel yet immensely strong. And it's also more dent- and ding-resistant and not subject to rust corrosion.
The frame of today's Ford Super Duty™ Chassis Cab is as strong as ever. The axles, suspension, brakes, driveline and transfer case are also larger and heftier for greater strength and capability. The 2022 Super Duty™ Chassis Cab is designed with upfitting in mind, with an open C-channel frame aft of cab featuring a standard 34-inch frame-rail width. With the Super Duty™ Chassis Cab frame and body, you can work hard and work smart, with aft-of-axle frame extensions for outstanding configuration flexibility, a factory-installed, programmable upfitter interface module for ease of upfitting, and six auxiliary upfitter switches located overhead in the cab to help operate a variety of powered options.
