Mustang - Active Valve
Performance Exhaust

The Mustang GT’s quad tipped 3.5-inch exhaust system not only looks great, but it can be tuned to deliver the sound and performance you prefer.

The system uses an electric valve and two-part valve and actuator assembly within the exhaust to constantly open and close based on throttle inputs. It enables the driver to dial in the sound they want, choosing from mild to wild when the occasion suits.

Need to leave in the morning and don’t want to wake the neighbors? Set your Active Valve Performance Exhaust to Quiet mode before you press the starter button or, better still, set it to start in Quiet mode at specific times of the day so you don’t forget.

Sport mode ups the ante with a beefier growl, while Track1 mode produces a performance roar that lets other track users enjoy Mustang’s full war cry.

Modes are controlled via the center-stack touchscreen. They are also tied to the Selectable Drive Modes and can be overridden by the driver using the touchscreen menu.
