Ranger Raptor is equipped with a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster screen, in place of an analogue instrument cluster. The digital instrument cluster can show you vital vehicle information, safety reminders, turn-by-turn navigation, phone connectivity and media streaming, it also shows drive modes and much more.
The right-side of your steering wheel is where the main controls for the instrument cluster are. There’s a Menu button which opens the main menu on the instrument cluster, scroll buttons to toggle through the different menu items, a Back button which allows you to go back or exit a menu, and an OK button for making selections.
When you press the Menu button on the steering wheel, you’ll see the main menu appear on the instrument cluster. This includes: MyView; Trip/Fuel, Off-Road, Towing, Navigation, Phone, Audio, Settings, and Vehicle Maintenance.
Using the selection buttons, you can scroll between the different main menu items. Selecting one of the menu items allows that to be displayed on the instrument cluster.
● Trip/Fuel: Displays trip computers, Auto Start/Stop settings, seat belt reminders, and the driver assistance information screen.
● Off-Road Displays the Next-Gen Ranger Raptor’s off-road status, pitch and roll, power distribution, and off-road driver assistance features.
● Navigation: Let’s you see the turn-by-turn nav as you drive.
● Phone: See who’s calling without having to take your hands off the steering wheel.
● Audio: See what’s playing via the infotainment system.
If you find the information too distracting, you can also enter a Calm Screen. This will simplify the display. Calm Screen will turn off the tacho, the speedo will be a digital read out only and the smaller gauges are removed as well.
Ranger Raptor also gives you the ability to create a personalised screen, mixing and matching the different screen content to display information which is essential to you. This is called MyView.
Configure which screens you want to see on MyView with these simple steps:
1. Using the digital instrument cluster display controls on the steering wheel, select MyView.
2. Select Configure MyView.
3. Select an item from the list that you want to include in your MyView list.
A minimum of two items must be selected to successfully complete configuring MyView.
Ranger Raptor’s MyMode (R) button allows you to personalise everything from steering to suspension, exhaust mode, or stop / start, through to the four-wheel drive mode and even whether the rear electronic differential should be on or off.
Note that you can only use MyMode to create one custom vehicle configuration based on the current state of your vehicle. If you’re trying to activate MyMode and the system determines the vehicle doesn’t meet the preconditions for either the drive mode or saved vehicle settings, then the system won’t activate your saved setting. A pop-up message will appear on the digital instrument cluster advising this.
● Drive mode.
● Steering mode.
● Suspension mode.
● Exhaust mode.
● Four-wheel drive mode.
● Stop and start on or off.
● Rear electronic locking differential on or off.
When you’ve configured your vehicle in your desired settings, say, you select Steering mode (Normal), Suspension mode (Sport), Exhaust mode (Quiet), Drive mode (Sport), Stop and Start on, you would press and hold the MyMode button (R button) for a few seconds to save as MyMode.
Once you have your MyMode setting saved, just press the button twice to activate your custom MyMode. You can check your MyMode settings at any time with a single press of the button.
We’ve covered the MyMode functionality of Ranger Raptor, so let’s look at how to select a Steering, Suspension, and Exhaust mode.
