Ford's Advance trac® with RSC® helps transit stay upright during emergency evasive maneuvers and sharp turns. Sensors in the ESP system detect instability during such situations and cut off power to the rear wheels to reduce wheel torque along with applying emergency brakes-thereby helping to stabilize the vehicle.
Standard Rear View Camera
Rear View Camera is standard on Transit. It makes backing up easy by displaying a full-color image in the screen, with guidelines to indicate where the vehicle is headed based on the position of your steering wheel.
SOS Post Crash Alert SystemTM
Ford's SOS Post crash Alert SystemTM automatically sounds the horn and activates the emergency flashers in the event of an airbag deployment or safety belt pre-tensioner activation. In Addition, the vehicle doors automatically unlock to aid in rescue. The system is designed to alert passersby and first responders to the vehicle's location.
6-Airbag System for Driver and Front-Passenger
Driver and front-passenger aribags deploy during a moderate-to-severe frontal or near-frontal collision to help protect the driver and front passenger.
The Safety Canopy System combines side-curtain airbags and a rollover sensor to help provide head protection for all outboard seating positions in certain side-impact and rollover situations; and stay inflated for an extended period of time for added protection in multiple rollovers or side impacts.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Sudden loss of tire pressure is the first sign of a puncture. If any of your tires happen to lose pressure before or during your journey, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System gives you an immediate warning by lighting up an icon on the instrument panel.
Hill Start Assist
Hill Start Assist helps you when pulling away on a hill by maintaining pressure on the brake system for an extra 2 seconds, giving you more time and control as you move your foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator. It's also handy when you're stopping and starting on slippery surfaces.
