6.7L Power

7.3L OHV PFI GAS V8

Design a gas-powered V8 built for strenuous duty, hauling heavy loads day in and day out, with commecial-grade durability, performance and efficiency and you get the all-new available port fuel-injected 7.3L. This "pushrod" V8 design optimizes low-end torque and the variable-cam timing helps to optimize high-output power. And for the durability also required, the 7.3L features a new cast-iron block with four-bolt and cross-bolted main bearing plus a forged-steel crankshaft. Want the largest gas V8 in a heavy-duty pickup?* This is it.

7.3L OHV PFI GAS V8

6.2L Flex Fuel

6.7L POWER STROKE® V8 TURBO DIESEL ENGINE

The available 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel is upgraded for 2020. It has a new 36,000-psi fuel-injection system, featuring injectors that can atomize fuel up to eight times per stroke to optimize combustion. The engine features a newly redesgined electric-actuated variable-geometry turbocharger that improves throttle response. It also features a stronger block, cylinder heads, connector rods and bearings, plus new forged-steel pistons.*

6.7L POWER STROKE® V8 TURBO DIESEL ENGINE

The available 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel is upgraded for 2020. 6.2L Power

6.2L FLEX-FUEL GAS V8

The 6.2L flex-fuel gas V8 is the standard engine in F-250 and F-350 models. It's engineered to deliver peak torque at lower rpm and generates high torque througout the midrange of the power band. The 6.2L in the F-250 is teamed up with the TorqShift® G 6-speed transmission; in the F-350 for 2020, it features the new 10-speed automatic.

6.2L FLEX-FUEL GAS V8

The 6.2L flex-fuel gas V8 is the standard engine in F-250 and F-350 models. It's engineered to deliver peak torque at lower rpm and generates high torque througout the midrange of the power band. The 6.2L in the F-250 is teamed up with the TorqShift® G 6-speed transmission; in the F-350 for 2020, it features the new 10-speed automatic.

TORQSHIFT® 10-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

All Super Duty® models (except the 6.2L V8 F-250) now feature a new standard TorqShift® 10-speed automatic transmission, engineered to optimize drive ratios and improves shift performance. You can choose from four selectable modes - Normal, Tow-Haul, Eco, Deep Sand/Snow.

Diesel Engine

DIESEL ENGINE-EXHAUST BRAKING

The 6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel incorporates a driver-activated engine-exhaust brake. It restricts the turbocharger’s exhaust flow to generate back pressure and slow the vehicle, providing greater control while traveling downhill, regardless of vehicle load or road grade. Also, because the engine brake helps minimize having to apply pedal pressure, brake fade and lining wear are reduced, lowering the cost of maintenance. Three settings are available: On, Off, and Auto. The Auto setting modulates engine braking as needed to help maintain the speed you want based on accelerator and brake pedal use.

DIESEL ENGINE-EXHAUST BRAKING

CLASS-EXCLUSIVE

OPERATOR-COMMANDED REGENERATION WITH ACTIVE INHIBIT (DIESEL).

Some operating conditions, such as long idling, do not generate enough engine heat for the diesel to automatically burn off soot in the diesel particulate filter. That is where available Operator-Commanded Regeneration with Active Inhibit comes in. When the warning light comes on, pushing the activation button raises the exhaust temperature to burn off the soot, after which the exhaust temperature reverts to normal. The active inhibit feature allows delay of regeneration when the vehicle is sitting over combustible materials such as dry leaves or grass. Once in a safe place, the driver can manually start the regeneration process. Recommended for commercial applications.

Compressed natural gas (CNG) and propane are advanced fuel options to unleaded gasoline with the CNG/Propane Gaseous Engine Prep Package,* available on the 6.2L gas V8. What is more, the CNG/Propane Package with the addition of the necessary upfits for bi-fuel capability enables the 6.2L V8 to run on either liquefied propane gas or unleaded gas. The 6.2L V8 is a flex-fuel engine, capable of running on E85 (85% ethanol, 15% regular gasoline); the available 6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel is B20-capable (20% biodiesel, 80% petrodiesel).

*Vehicle will be equipped with the standard factory gasoline fuel system. The CNG/Propane Gaseous Engine Prep Package includes hardened exhaust valves and valve seats. It does not include compressed natural gas/propane fuel tanks and lines, etc. See your dealer for details.
