More Power to Tow
and Haul on the Job
The 2022 Super Duty™ features strong performance with a powerful lineup of available engines. There’s the available 6.7L Power Stroke™ V8 Turbo Diesel with an available 1424 Nm of Torque as well as the available 6.2L gas V8
6.2L Flex-Fuel Petrol V8
The 6.2L flex-fuel gas V8 is the standard engine in F-250 and F-350 models. It’s engineered to deliver peak torque at lower rpm and generates high torque throughout the midrange of the power band. The SOHC valvetrain with roller-rocker shafts results in a stiff valvetrain with an optimized intake and exhaust port layout for better breathing. The 6.2L in the F-250 is teamed up with the TorqShift™ G 6-speed transmission; in the F-350, it features the 10-speed automatic.
6.7L Power Stroke™ V8 Turbo Diesel
The available 6.7L Power Stroke™ V8 Turbo Diesel has a new 36,000-psi fuel-injection system, featuring injectors that can atomize fuel up to eight times per stroke to optimize combustion. It also features stronger block, cylinder heads, connector rods and bearings, plus new forged-steel pistons, which means 475 hp and 1424Nm. of torque at 1,600 rpm. It produces maximum horsepower at a lower RPM than any other engine at 2,600 rpm.* Finally, the engine features a newly redesigned electric-actuated variable-geometry turbocharger that improves throttle response and efficiency.
Ford Torqshift™ 10-Speed Automatic Transmission
All Super Duty™ models (except the 6.2L V8 F-250) feature a standard TorqShift™ 10-speed automatic transmission, engineered to optimize drive ratios and improve shift performance. You can choose from five selectable modes — Normal, Slippery, Tow-Haul, Eco, Deep Sand/Snow. Ford is the only manufacturer to design and build all of its heavy-duty engine and transmission combinations — ensuring the powertrain works seamlessly with all chassis components and vehicle calibrations.
More Power, More Capability
than Ever
Strong Super DutyTM Petrol and diesel performance ratings combine with rugged frame and chassis engineering to achieve available impressive numbers in every category of hauling and towing capability, including top rankings in GVWR, payload, conventional towing and gross combined weight ratings. 5th-wheel tow ratings, too.

PRE-COLLISION ASSIST WITH AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING (AEB)
Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB)
We should all drive defensively, but sometimes other people’s lack of attention can create a hazard. This available feature scans the road ahead and can alert you to potential collisions with vehicles detected in your path. If an impact becomes imminent and you don’t take the corrective action, then the brakes can apply automatically. But don’t worry – they’ll only activate if they’re needed.
BLIS (BLIND SPOT INFORMATION SYSTEM) WITH TRAILER COVERAGE
BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with Trailer Coverage
It’s rush hour on the interstate. You’re towing a boat. And you need to change lanes. If this situation sounds daunting, it usually is. But available BLIS with Trailer Coverage can help ease lane-changing anxiety – even with a trailer in tow. It can alert you not only when a vehicle is spotted in your blind spot but also when one is alongside the trailer.
LANE-KEEPING ALERT
Lane-Keeping Alert
It happens. Maybe you’re caught up listening to your favorite podcast or need your morning latte, but you’ve wandered a little too close to the edge of your lane. Luckily, Lane-Keeping Alert can help you stay in your lane, even during a moment of distraction. This smart feature scans your vehicle’s position between the lines in the road ahead and can alert you if you’re starting to edge out of your lane. Having trouble staying on track? After you’ve drifted a few times, you’ll see a coffee cup icon, letting you know it’s time to take a break. *
AUTO HIGH-BEAM HEADLAMPS
Auto High-Beam Headlamps
We’ve all been there. Heading into a pitch-black stretch of road and having to turn on the high beams – then forgetting to turn them off again as oncoming traffic approaches. Now, unlit roads, dark peripheries and other low-visibility situations don’t have to catch you off guard. Available Auto High-Beam Headlamps can sense poor lighting conditions and switch on to further light your path ahead. They even sense oncoming headlights and dim automatically so you don’t have to worry about blinding other drivers, allowing you to keep your focus – and both hands – on the wheel.
REAR VIEW CAMERA
Rear View Camera
Between glancing in the rearview mirror and craning your neck, backing up requires a little multitasking. So we help make it easier. The Rear View Camera may not be an extra set of eyes, but it does provide a great view of what’s behind your vehicle. Just make sure to keep the camera lens free of debris (like snow or dust) and you can navigate in Reverse with more confidence. *
Hill Descent Control
Hill Descent Control
Steep hills are often tricky to navigate. Available Hill Descent Control can help you make the situation easier – and anxiety-free – by doing just what its name says. It helps you maintain a set speed when you’re driving down an incline, by automatically applying the brake when needed.*
Lightweight Body. Strong Frame
and Chassis
The Ford Super Duty™ has the only high-strength, military-grade, aluminum-alloy body in its class.* Aluminum alloy is substantially lighter than the previous steel body, yet it’s remarkably strong. It’s also more dent-and-ding resistant and not subject to rust. Use of aluminum alloy allowed some of the weight savings to be reinvested where it matters the most, especially in the frame that’s the foundation of strength and toughness.
