Your central touchscreen contains the latest version of Ford’s SYNC®4 communications and entertainment system.
The Mach-E uses a vertically mounted 15.5-inch touchscreen that allows for easy access to the system’s apps and features.
The main display has three buttons
you will use the most
Despite its size, your SYNC screen is pretty easy to navigate and is centered around three main buttons in the Status Bar at the top of the screen:
The Apps Launcher button.
The Settings button.
The Camera button.
Pressing the App Launcher button offers quick access to your apps, including Radio, Phone, Navigation, Media, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Charge Settings, Public Charging, Tire Pressure Monitoring system, Trips menu and Owner’s Manual. Once you select one of these apps it will activate and become the dominant item filling the main portion of the touch screen.

Press on this to access vehicle Settings for a huge range of safety, driver assist and other vehicle features. It’s where you can adjust settings and options for the Mach-E’s Controls, Sound, Phone List, Vehicle settings, General settings, Connectivity, Software Updates, Ford Assistant and Valet Mode.

These buttons sit under the top portion of the screen and show you the last six apps you’ve used. These shortcuts help you to quickly switch between apps without having to scroll through the App Launcher menu every time.
At the bottom of the SYNC touch screen is the Mach-E’s climate control bar. Here you’ll find digital touch buttons for the dual zone climate control, heated seats and steering wheel, front and rear screen demisters and air flow speed and direction.
Incorporated into SYNC touchscreen is a digital copy of the owner’s manual. Select this App and you’re offered a search bar to search for something specific, the option of accessing the manual via Categories, a Visual Search, or you can access previously saved pages via the Bookmarks function. You can also change the language of the manual.

Because SYNC offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity you can leave the cords at home and connect your smartphone to the SYNC®4A touch screen without wires. There’s also a wireless charging pad for smartphones and two USB outlets (USB-A and USB-C) so that you can connect your smartphone to SYNC®4A, and keep it charged, using a wired connection if you like.
